Out of Space

  I love Mondays.    Granted the commute sucks.    However, I’m refreshed from the weekend and ready to reach for the stars. Rocket turkey and cheese sandwich, pretzels, carrots , orange and Danimals smoothie yogurt. 

Frozen Theme Bento

Today it actually feels like Elsa lives in the Midwest. All week it has been cold rainy, snowy, and downright awful. However, my grandchild has been singing “Let it Snow” all week long. She’s even asked me if we will have a white Christmas. I smile and just think to myself I hope not. However, her cute smile deserves a Frozen Bento. To Create the Elsa sandwich I first printed a clipper I found online. I laid wax paper on top of the printed clip art use my edible markers to trace the outline. You can also use a pencil. Later I used my frosting tip to trace over the outline. I placed it in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, took it out and a slice of bread on outline. Gently lifted the bread slice to reveal the transfer of the image. Princess Cupcake Jones

Well it finally happened! All Four of my granddaughters are obsessed with all things related to princesses. If they had it their way Tutus would be their school uniform. So you can imagine how excited l was to come across the book series princes s cupcake Jones. These adorable books feature a black princess that celebrates diversity and teaches children valuable lessons. I love reading these books and this cute breakfast for lunch idea made my grandchild smile. Lunch included: ❤️  two mini pancakes. I drew the face with edible marked brought at Walmart. ❤️  blackberries surrounded pancakes to creat    hair.  ❤️     three sausage topped with a JoJo fruit gummy ring.  ❤️  heart and stars cucumber cutouts 

Star Wars Bento

I spent endless days during quarantine watching Star Wars movies with my family. It’s nice to see how much my grandchildren embrace one of my favorite movies. After watching The Mandalorian My granddaughter has become a real fan girl. It’s all about the baby Yoda. It was important to me that this lunch represented for all the true fans. Included in this lunch: ❤️ Sandwich- Star Wars cookie press was used to create a raspberry preserves with cream cheese sandwich. ❤️ Slice cucumber  ❤️ Baby Yoda-    A baby Yoda shape cookie cutter was dipped in green food coloring and pressed into two Babybel. ❤️ Sliced strawberries  ❤️ BB-8- a small cookie cutter was used to cut out two apple circles and and decorate it with cheddar cheese.  ❤️ Lightsaber- One green fruit rollup fold it around a lollipop stick.    ❤️ Embellishment- Prints clips that were covered in packing tape back and front.
